Salary: £17,753 - £18,899 (actual salary)

Leodis Academies Trust is a successful Multi Academy Trust with five schools in the South Leeds area. As part of our continued growth we are looking for a Learning Support Assistant, to join the team at Westerton Primary Academy.

Westerton Primary Academy is proud to be an inclusive and caring school, providing high quality education. We work together to enable all children to achieve well, gain confidence and contribute in a positive way to the school and the community. Situated in an outer suburb of South Leeds, the school has grown in size over the last decade and we now have 708 pupils on roll, working together we deliver a broad, balanced and relevant curriculum, allowing for pupils’ differing abilities and aptitudes that leads to success for every child.

Who are we looking for?

As our Learning Support Assistant, you will have worked with or cared for children in a school setting and understand classroom roles and responsibilities. Alongside Level 2 qualifications, you will understand how children develop and learn and have a general understanding of the National Curriculum.

As an effective communicator you will be able to relate well to children and adults, acting as a role model. With your ability to work well within a team you will encourage children to engage in activities led by the teacher and actively promote inclusion of all pupils.

The post is based at Westerton Primary Academy and applicants should ensure they are able to travel to the place of work before they apply.
