Leodis Academies Trust is a successful Multi Academy Trust with five schools in the South Leeds area. As part of our continued growth we have opportunities for enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join the team at Blackgates Primary Academy. We have one vacancy for 32.5 hours per week plus 3 training days.

As a Teaching Assistant you will provide supervision and support to pupils on an individual or group basis to enable them access to learning. You will offer general support to the teacher in the management of pupils, classroom activities and assistance in the provision of the wider school curriculum.
Who are we looking for?
To succeed in the role, you will have good literacy and numeracy skills, be able to organise your work and priorities effectively. The ability to communicate effectively with pupils, staff and parents, work to deadlines and remain calm in a busy environment are all essential for the post.
You may be required to assist a child with special educational needs. Whilst you don’t need specific experience of working with a child with special educational needs, you do need to have a caring attitude, patience and sensitivity and understanding.
